Ram Mandir Ayodhya Darshan Guide

Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya has been built on the birthplace of Lord Rama. The beautiful architecture of the temple, along with the shikhara and the carvings on its pillars, make an amazing sight. The devotees were able to pay homage to Ram Lalla in January 2024, and darshan is offered free of charge to the devotees. This is everything you need to know about timings, Aarti, and other such details.

Best Time to Visit Ram Mandir

The best time to visit Ram Mandir Ayodhya is between October and February. The mornings are cool and the long walk to the temple feels easy. If you are travelling with kids, parents or elders, or you are coming for the first time, this is the season to pick.

March and April work well if you want to see Ram Navami, but be ready for large crowds. May and June get very hot, so go at sunrise or after sunset. During the rains from July to September the roads turn slippery and the queues move slowly, so skip that window if you have little ones or senior citizens with you.

Tip: It is better to plan a visit on weekdays, as you may find crowds during the weekends.

Ram Mandir Darshan Timings

Ram Mandir is open around 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a break in the afternoon. The trust changes timings during festivals and seasons, so check the official Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra website a day before you go.

How to Get a VIP Pass for Ayodhya Ram Mandir?

There is no official paid VIP pass for Ram Mandir. What you can get is a Sugam Darshan pass, which gives you a smoother and more organized entry than the regular line. Attending an aarti also needs a pass.

Here is how to book it:

Go to the official Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra website.

Register or log in using your mobile number.

Choose Sugam Darshan or the aarti you want, then pick a date and slot.

Fill in the visitor details and add a valid photo ID.

Download your pass and keep a copy with you.

As for the price, the temple trust says darshan and aarti passes are free. If someone offers "guaranteed VIP entry" for money, walk away. Always confirm the latest rules on the official portal.

Best Way to Reach Ayodhya

By Car/Cab: Roads connect Ayodhya well with Lucknow, Varanasi, Gorakhpur and Prayagraj. A cab is the easiest choice for families, and an affordable taxi service in Ayodhya can also take you around the city for sightseeing. Private vehicles are not allowed close to the temple, so you will finish the trip on a short electric rickshaw ride or on foot.

By Bus: State and private buses run regularly from Lucknow, Delhi and Kanpur. They are cheap, though they get packed during festivals.

By Train: Ayodhya Dham Junction has direct trains from Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and many other cities. Book your ticket early during the busy months.

By Flight: Maharishi Valmiki International Airport is the closest airport. After a flight, nobody wants to hunt for a ride, so it helps to arrange an Ayodhya Airport cab on rent before you land.

Conclusion

Try to plan your visit during winter, check out the timings, have a photo ID on hand, and purchase tickets from the official website only. In case you are planning to visit the city of Nawabs after visiting the city of Prabhu Ram, it is recommended that you take an Ayodhya to Lucknow taxi booking in advance, which will ensure that you reach Ayodhya within three hours without any hassles. All that you need to do then is to have a peaceful darshan of Ram Lalla.

Jai Shri Ram.
